Mission
RCCQ's mission is to advance research and training in cavity-based quantum systems. By integrating expertise across departments, the center supports the development of novel quantum platforms, promotes the training of an expert quantum workforce and strengthens Rice University’s position as a leader in quantum technologies.
Focus Areas
RCCQ focuses on fundamental and applied studies in cavity quantum electrodynamics, targeting key areas in the broader field of quantum light-matter interactions, including driven-dissipative processes in open quantum systems, quantum interconnects, sensing and imaging, and energy systems. The center supports collaborative research and educational programs that span quantum information science, quantum optics, condensed matter physics, photonics, and nanoscience.
