Sijie Xu

sx27@rice.edu

Sijie earned his B.S. in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). His research interests include single-crystal growth using diverse techniques, electrical transport measurements, and the integration of advanced sample environments—such as uniaxial strain and thermal gradients—with neutron scattering methods to investigate quantum materials.

 Tingjun Zhang RLEMM

Tingjun Zhang

tz33@rice.edu

Tingjun is a Ph.D. student in Applied Physics Program starting from 2023 Fall. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in physics from Nanjing University, China. Now he is also a visiting student at Oak Ridge National Laboratory starting from October 2024. He applies neutron scattering techniques to investigate strongly correlated electron systems, including quantum spin liquid, unconventional superconductivity, charge and spin density waves and altermagnetism.
