The Kavli Foundation sponsored a a trio of visionary, cross-disciplinary meetings at Rice University that focused on the future of sensing technology. These meetings “Sensing the Future: The Future of Sensing” brought together scientists and engineers from academia, government, and industry to identify the grand challenges that could potentially be met by next-generation sensing technologies and the fundamental scientific capabilities that will be needed to address those challenges.
Each workshop featured talks by experts in the field, followed by moderated round table discussions between speakers and attendees. Please click on the linked name for each workshop to access more information, including speaker bios and the full schedule for each workshop.
Workshop 1: Biosensing (May 7-8, 2018)
Some focal topics for the first workshop in this series will include: biomedical diagnostics and imaging; implantable and wearable sensors
Workshop 2: Biosensing II (December 6-7, 2018)
Workshop 2 will continue the discussion on biosensing topics.
