The Kavli Foundation
is sponsoring a series of three workshops at Rice University on the theme “Sensing the Future: The Future of Sensing”
. The workshops aim at communicating the current state of the art across a range of interrelated fields, and envisioning future needs and developments that will drive both the science and technology of sensing.
Each workshop in the series will feature invited talks by experts in the field followed by moderated round table discussions between the speakers and other attendees. Please click on the link for each workshop to access more information, including speaker bios and the full schedule for each workshop:
Some focal topics for the first workshop in this series will include: biomedical diagnostics and imaging; implantable and wearable sensors
Workshop 2 will continue the discussion on biosensing topics.
Workshop 3: Dec 9-10, 2019
The final workshop in the series will address areas such as: imaging & AI; big data; machine learning; astrophysics; space flight; sensing the universe
